New 7 MW contract for Røvassåga hydropower plant in Norway

We have been awarded a contract for the supply of for Røvassåga power plant in Rana municipality, northern Norway.

The supply will be of one 7 MW Gamesa Electric synchronous generator for this project that will produce around 20 GWh of clean energy annually. The plant consists of a small reservoir from which the water will fall through a 1300 m long and 145 meters drop pipe. The power plant commissioning in scheduled for the summer of 2022.

Norway’s topography is perfect for the development of hydropower energy. This renewable energy source regularly accounts for more than 95 per cent of total Norwegian power production.

This is our 8th project with this client, a main supplier in the Norwegian hydropower market, with whom we have already installed a total of 55 MW in the country.
