Upper Chameliya hydroelectric project (40MW) is a run-off-river type project located Lattinath, Guljar and Tapoban, in the Far Western Region of Nepal.
This Project utilizes the discharge of 22.79 m3/s water flow over 215m fall to generate 40 MW power.
The Intake and dam is downstream of the confluence of Rugru Gad and Chameliya rivers at Guljar VDC.
Major Structures of the Project are the Diversion Dam & Intake, Basin, Headrace Pipe, Surge Tank, Penstock Pipe, Powerhouse and Tailrace canal. The Powerhouse site is proposed at Lama Bagar of Lattinath VDC, Darchula district just on the confluence of Odkhet Khola and Chameliya river. The whole alignment runs along the left bank of the river.
The total supply for this project will be of three 14 MW Gamesa Electric synchronous hydro generators. Run-of-river developments come with a lighter footprint than a typical dam, avoiding flooding and relocation of people.
This is fifth time this client has trusted our products and team capabilities as together, we have installed a total of 134 MW,all of them in Nepal.
