Gamesa Electric generator for a 15 MW Mini Hydro Power Plant in Philippines

We have been awarded the supply of a synchronous generator for this run-of-river mini hydroelectric power plant. The project is targeted to begin commercial operations in 2022.

We have signed a new contract for the supply of one 15 MW synchronous hydro generator for Siguil River hydropower plant in Mindanao (Philippines).

This is our fourth project with this client, for a total of 21 MW installed together, and our first collaboration in the Philippines. The client relies in our large experience, with more than 2.000 MW in hydro generators installed for small hydro power plants.

The construction of this run-of-river mini hydroelectric power plant has been launched recently. This project will harness the water current of the Siguil River basin in the municipality of Maasim, southern Mindanao, to reduce CO2 emissions thanks to renewable energies.

The Siguil Hydro Power Plant is expected to begin commercial operations by 2022 and will provide power to Sarangani Province, General Santos City and key municipalities of South Cotabato. The project will avoid the emission of the equivalent of 49,073 tCO2/year.
