We have signed a new contract for the supply of Solar Photovoltaic Stations and Power Plant Controller for the solar plant of Villa de Arista, in the state of San Luis de Potosi (Mexico).
This plant with a nominal capacity of 30MW, is being built under the regime of self-supply. The plant, which will be completed in 2019, will supply energy to private groups through a long-term power purchase agreement.
The total supply is six Solar Photovoltaic Stations of 5.15 MVA and one Solar Photovoltaic Station of 2.57 MVA. They include our high efficiency Gamesa Electric PV2500 solar inverter, which registers one of the highest market yields (99.0% maximum yield, 98.8% European yield). The step-up transformer and a medium voltage protection switchgear are also included.
All of these are integrated into an ISO maritime container, with all the interconnections made and factory tested, which makes it easier to install and connect in the field.
In order to coordinate the response of all solar inverters and comply with the grid code interconnection requirements, we will also supply a Power Plant Controler.
Mexico is currently the country with the largest solar development in Latin America. This project will help to strengthen our presence in the country, where we have other projects and products installed.
