We have signed our first contract for the supply of Solar PV stations for a project in the Dominican Republic. The Mata de Palma plant, located in San Antonio de Guerra, province of Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), has a capacity of 50 MW.
This solar park is one of the most important renewable energy projects initiated within the framework of the Support Plan for Renewable Energy Projects headed by CDEEE (Dominican Corporation of State Electric Companies).
For this project, the total supply is of 6 solar photovoltaic stations of 5.1 MVA, each of which includes two high efficiency Gamesa Electric PV 2500 solar inverters at 1500Vdc, which scores one of the highest efficiencies in the PV market (99.0% maximum efficiency; 98.8% European efficiency) and a 2.5 MVA station which just includes one of our inverters.
All of these include the step-up transformer and a medium voltage protection switchgear all integrated within fully wired interconnected and factory tested ISO maritime containers, for ease of both field assembly and installation.
In addition, a central Power Plant Controller will be supplied to help coordinate the response of all the solar inverters to comply with the power plant grid code interconnection requirements.
