We are seeking a person to cover the position of Converter Hardware Lead Engineer to join our Technology team. This position plays a critical role on the development and support of Gamesa Electric’s converters, inverters & power plant controllers modeling. This position supports all the product modeling lifetime cycle, so operational and strategic assessment for developing power electronics modeling is required.

Job’s profile:
Contribute actively to the converter product development roadmap to improve our portfolio, business operations (e.g. support for critical / important project issues) and / or strategic innovations. (e.g. portfolio innovation).
Lead converter topology selection, including electrical calculations of: power stacks, AC & DC filters, protections, passive elements, electrical losses
Support on the thermal, reliability and DFMEA analysis
Support external stakeholders, as clients and contractors
Adhere to and enforces the organization’s internal processes and rules.
Have a Lean mindset, focused on quality and continuous improvement
Skills & Knowledge:
Involved in the management of converter portfolio
Technical leadership of multi-functional teams
Strong client focus
Advanced English skills (minimum C1, C2 desirable).
