We are seeking a person to cover the position of Converter & Control Cabinets Mechanical Team Leader to join the mechanical technology team in San Fernando de Henares, Madrid. This position plays a critical role on the development and support of Gamesa Electric’s converters & cabinets, acting as a design and development reference for the Technology team. This position supports all the product lifetime cycle, so operational and strategic assessment for developing power electronics is required.

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineering with a master degree holder to act as focal point with our wind customers and internal stakeholders to cover the design roadmap of converter & control cabinets for windturbines. Experience managing a technical team is relevant for the position, as well as experience managing the relationship with customers and the project management team.
Job’s profile:
The selected candidate is expected to:
Lead mechanical department design process in wind projects, acting as focal point for internal and external clients
Provide technical solutions for business requirements
Negotiation of technical scopes participating in cross functional meetings
Management of wind business unit priorities
Design, specify and generate documentation of power electronics wind products.
Support design and manufacturing processes of build to print and build to spec electrical cabinets.
Management of documentation on PLM (Teamcenter) and PDM (Windchill)
Adhere to and enforces the organization’s internal processes and rules.
Have a Lean mindset, focused on quality and continuous improvement.
Support on the thermal, reliability and DFMEA analysis

Advanced English skills (minimum C1, C2 desirable).
